POSTPONED: Visit the Childhood Cancer Data Lab at Booth 1601 at AACR 2020!

February 25, 2020

The AACR Annual Meeting 2020, originally scheduled for April 24-29, has been postponed.

See the announcement here. According to the March 10th announcement, a rescheduled meeting is being planned for later this year.

The Childhood Cancer Data Lab (CCDL) was started by Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation to empower pediatric cancer researchers poised for the next big discovery with the knowledge, data, and tools to reach it. In the past year we’ve established a set of workshops to train scientists, developed systems to uniformly process publicly available data, and developed new techniques for gene expression analysis of rare diseases.

The CCDL will have a team of scientists at the American Association for Cancer Research 2020 Annual Meeting in sunny San Diego! Our team members are excited to talk to researchers studying pediatric cancer at Booth 1601. Say hello, tell us about your data needs, and learn about the different ways we can help you!

We’re also happy to have folks supply data for our question of the day! Here’s a data gathering exercise from AACR 2019 in Atlanta:

Have a question about your data or analysis?

We plan to schedule thirty minute time slots for researchers studying pediatric cancers who have questions about data analysis, genomic technologies, reproducible research practices, refine.bio (our repository of publicly available uniformly processed gene expression data), and more.

Consultation appointments will take place at Booth 1601. Requested time slots are not guaranteed. Due to limited availability of appointments, preference will be given to researchers studying pediatric cancer. Requesters will be notified of appointment status on a rolling basis.
